"My Anger Does Not Achieve God's Will"

2nd Chronicles 28.8a, 9, 11 NASU

“But a prophet of the Lord was there, whose name was Oded; and he went out to meet the army which came to Samaria and said to them, ‘Behold, because the Lord, the God of your fathers, was angry with Judah, He has delivered them into your hand, and you have slain them in a rage which has even reached heaven….’

If Iam ever chosen as an instrument of correction to a fellow human being, or any living thing, for that matter, I must not allow my anger to get in the way. Correction must always be done in love. In fact, it is impossible to represent God or act in the best interest of others while angry or “in a rage”...

for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.
James 1.20 NASB
