“In the seventh year Jehoiada strengthened himself, and made a covenant with the captains of hundreds: And he set the gatekeepers at the gates of the house of the Lord, so that no one who was in any way unclean should enter.”I need to “set the gatekeepers at the gates” of my mind so nothing “unclean should enter” this coming day. It know it will be a struggle. It always is. I must prepare to battle pessimism, resentment, fear, self-pity, entitlement, selfishness, prejudice, and impurity.
I am confident Jesus will help me resist the entrance of these thoughts past the eye and ear gates of my mind.
