Bible Reading Plan for June 12th - 18th, 2023
Week 24: 1st Chronicles 22 – 29; 2nd Chronicles 1 – 8; Acts 27 – 28; Romans 1 – 3
The closing episode of 1st Chronicles records the story of an aging king who desired to build “a house for the Name of the LORD” (22.7). Instead, God chose David’s son to construct His Temple in the City of David, Jerusalem.
The Lord bestowed honor on young Solomon who showed by his own example how to lead a nation by seeking God in prayer:
The book of Romans is one of thirteen letters written by Paul and recorded for us in the New Testament.
After Paul finished his third missionary trip, he embarked on his final journey to “stand trial before Caesar,” (Acts 27.24) and greet members of the church in Rome.
Romans is Paul’s longest epistle and takes a theologically systematic approach to the story of Jesus Christ. Paul was “not ashamed of the gospel” story and recognized it to be…

Bible Reading Plan
There are fifty-two weeks and two hundred and sixty weekdays in any given year (52 weeks X 5 weekdays = 260 days).
Coincidentally, there are also two hundred and sixty chapters in the New Testament. By reading just one chapter of the New Testament every Monday through Friday, you will finish the entire New Testament in a year.
If you are a little more ambitious, you may wish to read the whole Old Testament in a year on this five day a week reading plan. Avid Bible students may accomplish the entire Bible each year by simply reading both Old and New Testament columns in the reading plan provided at the links below.
There is nothing magical about reading the whole Bible in a year. The study of God’s Word should not be viewed as a competition or legal requirement for believers.
