Thank you for sharing this episode from you life with me. It was a case when you had to actually pay a heavy price for doing what you knew you must.davescrivenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14462058588564974007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27936658.post-42724277222921324852009-03-10T12:04:00.000-07:002009-03-10T12:04:00.000-07:00I think we can feel in our gut when we're doing th...I think we can feel in our gut when we're doing the right thing; I often use that as the barometer of what action to take.

Years ago, I led a sexual harrassment suit (multiple complainants) at a major media company because NOT doing something would have made me sick. I felt it in my gut. It took more courage than I knew I had to take on that assignment, but not doing it would have actually hurt me.

We ultimately won (we just wanted the guy fired even though we could have sued for a huge cash award), but what I witnessed in terms of true evil during that time was a real eye-opener. Men who I thought were my friends treated me with absolute loathing and hatred. What they didn't see was that I was making my small part of the world a better place for their daughters, wives, sisters.

They didn't see that, though. They only felt hate, and in that sense, I suppose God was telling me that I was doing the right thing. I was rocking a major boat that disrupted the power structure.

But how did I *know* I was doing the right thing? It was the feeling in my gut, pure and simple. I think we just have to stop and listen to our bodies, which is where God can speak to us.maffyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05635756411794351877noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27936658.post-59288387547297640192007-03-03T21:36:00.000-08:002007-03-03T21:36:00.000-08:00I agree with you Ned. Persecution can actually a sign of God's approval, can't it?

Good observation, Brother.

Davedavescrivenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14462058588564974007noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27936658.post-12026359269860423112007-03-03T21:34:00.000-08:002007-03-03T21:34:00.000-08:00Hi Larry, Thanks for the posting. In Athens it said he only converted a handful of people yet we know that eventualy Greece would become a Christain place.
How can we be realy sure that this is in God's will?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27936658.post-61653710936339649932007-02-28T07:18:00.000-08:002007-02-28T07:18:00.000-08:00Oh I like this post. SO often even with the scripture, knowing the voice of God and seeking His will, we over ride the direction of God.

In my house we found that the Lord confirms His direction in both my wife and I. When we come together and both have the same answer, we are headed in the right direction. That direction has frequently dumbfounded our friends and family, but oh what wonders and answers have been laid out before us. The second half of Luke 22:42 has been in my heart everytime I have the nerve to represent and present the Living Word. One Sidedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07082142283281027095noreply@blogger.com
